Residents and businesses recently joined members of the Whitesands Project team at a community engagement event held at the Whitesands Project Information Centre.
The event provided an opportunity for people to learn more about the project, discuss planned works and ask questions directly to members of the project team.
Residents, businesses and visitors will be able to continue using Loreburn Bridge for most of the Greensands construction programme following a review of construction plans by the Whitesands Project Team.
The revised approach means Loreburn Bridge is now expected to remain open throughout the majority of Phase 1 works, with a closure currently anticipated for a maximum of around four weeks in early 2027 rather than for the full construction period.
