Parking suspensions and access arrangements at Greensands

Temporary parking suspensions are being introduced in phases at Greensands and surrounding areas to allow works on the Whitesands Flood Protection Scheme to be carried out safely.

The affected areas include:

• spaces suspended from 25 May (Red areas)
• additional areas from 1 June (Orange)
• George Street car park (Blue areas) from 11 June
• further Greensands areas (Blue) from 17 June
• final areas (Yellow) from 24 June

Clear signage will be in place on lampposts within affected areas to highlight the changes.

We recognise that parking and access are important for residents, businesses and visitors. These measures are necessary to ensure the safe delivery of construction works, and we will aim to minimise disruption wherever possible.

Pedestrian and footbridge access to Nith Avenue and Park Lane will be maintained until 30 June to help reduce disruption, particularly for the nearby school, while enabling works to continue safely.
