Apply for extended hours at a licensed premises
You can apply to extend the licensed hours of your premises licence. It's a criminal offence to sell alcohol without the relevant licence.
The licensing board may grant the extension if the hours requested are for:
- a special event or occasion to be catered for on the premises
- a special event of local or national significance
The licensing board may ask you to apply for a variation of the premises licence instead of granting an extension.
How to apply
Complete the extended hours licence application form and send it to the address on the form. You should apply at least 14 days before the event you need the extension of the licence for.

The fee to apply to extend the licensing hours is £10. If we refuse the application we do not refund the application fee. You can send a cheque with your application or you can call 01387 245922 to pay by debit or credit card.
