Completing a Community Resilience Plan

Plan maintenance
The Community Resilience Group should review their plan on a regular basis throughout the year to ensure the information remains up to date and ready for implementation. The plan should be reviewed annually and updated plans approved by the groups or affiliated Community Council prior to sharing with Dumfries and Galloway Council.
It is important when updating plans that old copies of the plans are destroyed in an appropriate manner to ensure personal data is destroyed securely.
Community Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (Community Risk Profile)
Within the Community Resilience Plan, there is a section called the Community Risk Profile. This page invites groups to think about the risks that are specific to their community. These might include issues such as flooding, power outages, or extreme weather — anything that regularly affects the area or could have an impact during an emergency.

When completing this template, it is important to consider the range of risks that potentially could affect your community such as extreme weather, flooding and loss of utilities.
