Families across Dumfries and Galloway are being invited to donate, swap or take pre-loved Halloween costumes as council libraries launch Scare, Share and Wear.

Dumfries and Galloway Council has retained the Investing in Volunteers Quality Standard for a further three years following a rigorous assessment by Volunteer Scotland.

This is the estimated value added to the region each and every year by volunteers who help the council.

Dumfries and Galloway Council is celebrating the enormous contribution of local volunteers as part of Volunteers’ Week 2025, running from 2 to 8 June.
