Dumfries and Galloway Council has secured £710,000 from the Scottish Government to support the development of two key projects identified in the Stranraer Place Plan.

On Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 June, a full capacity crowd descended on Park Farm, Dumfries for the UK’s largest free youth music festival. An audience of around 40,000 over the course of the weekend were entertained by fantastic performances on the Main Stage, Second Stage and Kids Tent.

Dumfries and Galloway Council is pleased to confirm that all school transport services will operate from the beginning of the next academic year, ensuring every eligible child has access to safe and reliable transport to and from school.

This is the size of the fuel tank used by the emergency diesel generator at the council’s Dumfries-based emergency centre, known as The Bunker.

A wave of new green jobs has just been announced as part of the Solway Coast and Marine Projects (SCAMP) – Landscape Connections initiative, marking a major step forward in environmental restoration efforts across Dumfries and Galloway.
