Dumfries and Galloway Council has invested £2.66 million in a fleet of 12 new low-emission buses to safeguard vital transport links between communities in the west of the region.
Further to last week’s announcement, SWestrans and Dumfries and Galloway Council have confirmed updated arrangements for the region’s new bus network, which begins on Thursday 7 August.
Dumfries and Galloway Council has been made aware of an issue affecting access to Direct Payment card accounts provided by Prepaid Financial Services (PFS).
This is the amount generated for the local economy each year by nine signature events held across the region. During 2024, more than 70,000 people attended these events.
