Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Facilities Management Team has gained a series of remarkable achievements, highlighting their commitment to excellence, sustainability, and community impact.

This is the size of the fuel tank used by the emergency diesel generator at the council’s Dumfries-based emergency centre, known as The Bunker.

Dumfries and Galloway Council has reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to supporting employees through service change, as part of a new redeployment policy. The council also confirmed its existing position of no compulsory redundancy will remain in place – reaffirming a long-standing commitment, originally made in 2015.

Dumfries and Galloway Council has officially achieved Disability Confident Leader status – the highest level of accreditation under the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme.
