Dumfries and Galloway Council has joined Equally Safe at Work, a national accreditation programme led by Close the Gap, as part of its continued commitment to gender equality and preventing violence against women.
Further to last week’s announcement, SWestrans and Dumfries and Galloway Council have confirmed updated arrangements for the region’s new bus network, which begins on Thursday 7 August.
Dumfries and Galloway Council has been made aware of an issue affecting access to Direct Payment card accounts provided by Prepaid Financial Services (PFS).
This is the amount generated for the local economy each year by nine signature events held across the region. During 2024, more than 70,000 people attended these events.
