Funding schemes to help the Stewartry Area Committee meet their priorities.
At its meeting on 20 May 2026, Stewartry Area Committee agreed its funding priorities and approved the launch of the following grant schemes to support local communities across Stewartry.

The Stewartry Area Committee has some funding available to help support local activities and projects. Here’s how it can be used:
The committee works with the Stewartry Sports Council to support individuals and clubs with training, coaching and sports activities. If you want to apply, go directly to their website for details.
This fund is now open to applications
Funding is available to help community owned/managed buildings and events that bring people together and support wellbeing. You can apply for up to £4000 (school buildings and transport are not included in this funding).
Applications are still open, apply now to avoid disappointment
This supports local events like galas, music, community competitions and gatherings (in person or online). You can apply for up to £500.
This fund is now open to applications
Funding is available for organisations and clubs that run activities for young people aged 12 to 25. Each ward in the Stewartry can give out up to £2000.
If you have a project that supports young people and aligns with the Tackling Poverty and Inequalities Fund, you are encouraged to apply.
Before applying:
Funding decisions are made by the lead officer, together with local ward members. Grants are given out on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s best to apply early.
