Annandale and Eskdale Area Committee
At their meeting on 28 May 2026 the Annandale Eskdale Area Committee agreed a number of funding priorities and agreed to open schemes for the following:
Tackling Poverty and Inequalities Fund
This fund is now open to applications
Groups and organisations can apply for up to £7,500 to support work in these areas:
- digital connectivity
- prevention of domestic abuse
- energy/fuel
- food insecurity
- mental health, drug and alcohol abuse
- child poverty
- transport
- upskilling/employability
- increasing dignity and self esteem
- supporting independent living to vulnerable/pre-vulnerable clients to help them to stay within their own homes

- deadline to apply: 30 July 2026 at midday
- decisions made by: September 2026
We cannot pay for anything that has already been bought or started before we make a decision.
Annandale and Eskdale Sports Grants
This fund is now open to applications
If you live in Annandale and Eskdale and take part in sport, you may be able to get funding to support your training or equipment.
What you can apply for
We provide small grants for:
- individual athletes – up to £300
- sports clubs – up to £500
The funding is aimed at people and groups who are not already supported by national or major sports organisations.
How the funding works
There is a total of £5,000 available.
You can apply in one of two funding rounds:
- Round 1: apply by 2 July 2026 at midday
- Round 2: apply by 29 October 2026 at midday
Applications are assessed after each deadline.
