Bulky waste

You can pay us to collect some large items or bulky waste from your home.

Other bulky waste options

If you have large items at home that you no longer need and are still in good condition, you can have them collected for free using Zero Waste Scotland. Enter your postcode to find a local reuse organisation that will collect what you want to get rid of.

Dumfries and Galloway also has reuse shops that you can donate your unwanted household items to. They work to high standards in safety, cleanliness, and service for the sale of second-hand goods.

If you buy a new item that is delivered to your home, some retailers will take away your old item. Most shops, including online retailers, must help you get rid of old household electrical and electronic equipment when they sell you a new version of the same item. Find out more about retailer responsibilities on GOV.UK.

Take it to a recycling centre

You can take some bulky waste to one of our recycling centres. Check what can be taken before you book your visit.
