Order a bulky waste collection
This service is for large items that you cannot use, recycle, reuse, or take to a recycling centre.
Our collection costs are:
- £23.50 for the first item
- £10.00 for a second item
- £5.00 each additional item
You can also pay with a debit card or credit card at a customer service centre. Some some customer service centres accept cash payments.
Get a custom quote
You'll have to ask us for a custom quote if:
- what you want collected is not on the list of standard collection items
- your collection will be more than 5 metres from where your bins are normally collected
- there are any obstacles in the way to the collection point
- there are steps to the collection point
There is a minimum charge of £50 for a custom quote. We'll contact you with the full cost, based on the type, size and number of items.

How to prepare for your collection
We'll let you know which day your items will be collected, so you know when to have them ready for collection.
The bulky waste must be:
- ready for collection by 7.30am on your collection day
- at your usual waste collection point, or no more than 5 metres (16.5 feet) from it, if it's in your front garden or yard
We cannot help you carry large items from your home to the collection point.
If your rubbish bin is collected from the end of your road, we may ask you to leave your bulky waste there. This is to make sure our collection vehicles can get to the collection point.
Damaged seating items
Any seating items with cushions or padding, like sofas, office chairs and futons, must be clean and intact, if they include:
- leather
- synthetic leather
- padding material
- foam
- other material
Any broken, torn, dirty, ripped or exposed parts of them must be sealed with plastic bags, shrink wrap or duct tape.
Change or cancel your collection
If you have booked a collection and want to make a change you can do this up until the day before your booking. You can make the following changes:
- uplift date
- items (From one item to another)
- cancel

If you cancel your collection less than 2 working days before the original collection date, you will not get a refund.
If you have changed your collection date and then choose to cancel you will only be refunded if you have cancelled within 2 days of your original uplift date.
We are unable to add extra items to your collection, but you can create another booking. Although you may end up with your collection dates on different dates. If this happens you can amend this to ensure your collections are on the same date. Please see above.
