Dumfries and Galloway Council’s procurement and commissioning activity continues to support local businesses and communities, according to a Quarter 3 performance update for 25/26 tabled at this week’s Enabling and Customer Services Committee.
Councillors today (Tuesday 10 February) received an update on the implications of the Scottish Government’s Local Government Finance Settlement for 2026/27, as work continues towards setting the council’s budget later this month.
The Stranraer Marina Expansion project – one of the region’s flagship regeneration investments – has formally progressed to the final stages of the approval process, it was announced today (Friday 6 February) by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Around 12,500 homes and businesses in Dumfries and Galloway are set to benefit from a major investment in gigabit-capable broadband, following the announcement of an additional £18 million through the UK Government’s Project Gigabit programme.
