A new £900,000 fund to support housing regeneration, improve property conditions and help deliver affordable homes across Dumfries and Galloway has been approved by councillors.
Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Community Assets and Roads Service Teams will be carrying out a package of improvement works across Dumfries High Street and the wider town centre over the coming weeks.
Dumfries and Galloway Council will consider plans to kick-start the regeneration of the long-derelict Former Interfloor Factory site in Heathhall, Dumfries, at its Full Council meeting on Thursday 11 December.
Dumfries and Galloway Council today (Friday 19 September) said that its recent contract award for the Whitesands Flood Protection Scheme is an “up to £38 million” agreement covering both design development and potential construction phases – not a confirmed £38 million spend at this stage.
