Dumfries and Galloway Council is set to deliver two important road safety improvement schemes this March, responding directly to community concerns and supporting safer travel for residents, parents, children and road users across the region.
Dumfries and Galloway Council has invested £2.66 million in a fleet of 12 new low-emission buses to safeguard vital transport links between communities in the west of the region.
Business as usual, as vast majority of subsidised bus routes in Dumfries and Galloway will continue as normal, with routes allocated to local bus operators.
Residents and business owners in Dumfries are now invited to have their say on new ideas designed to not only make streets in the town centre safer and easier for people to walk, wheel and cycle, but also to improve access for deliveries.
