Dumfries and Galloway Council has marked the start of construction on the Whitesands Flood Protection Project with a ground breaking ceremony at Greensands.
Dumfries and Galloway Council has awarded the main works contract for the Whitesands Flood Protection and Public Realm Improvement Scheme in Dumfries to McLaughlin & Harvey.
Construction is now underway on nine multi-modal transport hubs in Dumfries and Galloway, which will bring new active and sustainable transport options to communities across the region.
