Dumfries and Galloway Council has published its Climate Change Duties Report for the financial year 2024–25, reaffirming its commitment to tackling the climate emergency and progressing towards net zero targets.
At a meeting of the Economy and Infrastructure Committee on 4 November, councillors agreed a report outlining the development of a Regional Good Food Nation Plan – in line with the requirements of the Good Food Nation (Scotland) Act 2022.
Dumfries and Galloway Council today (Friday 19 September) said that its recent contract award for the Whitesands Flood Protection Scheme is an “up to £38 million” agreement covering both design development and potential construction phases – not a confirmed £38 million spend at this stage.
Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Enabling and Customer Services Committee will consider the Procurement Annual Report for Financial Year 2024/25 at its meeting on Tuesday 16 September.
