Dumfries and Galloway Council is deeply saddened by the death of Councillor Archie Dryburgh MBE, a much-respected colleague who devoted many years of his life to public service and to the communities of Dumfries and Galloway.

Dumfries and Galloway Council has been approved as a Fostering Friendly employer by The Fostering Network, following the approval and introduction of a new policy providing practical support for employees who foster or provide kinship care.

Major projects including flood protection, schools, transport improvements and regeneration schemes continue to move forward.
