Near misses are events that had the potential to cause an incident. Near misses should also be reported.

Any vessels drawing 3m or less can reach the harbour but may have to lie aground over low water.
Fishing, excursion and recreational vessels should pass to the east of the spit lightbuoy to avoid interaction with ferries.
