Petitions

Submit a petition to the council on an issue you care about, and find out what happens after you send it.

A petition is a request signed by many people, asking the council to do something about an issue.

When we receive a petition, we follow a set process to make sure it’s handled properly. Please make sure your name and contact details are included so we can contact you.

You can send us your completed petition in one of the following ways:

  3. tell the councillors who need to know about the issue raised in your petition
  4. look into what we can do about the request in your petition
  5. let you (and the councillors) know what will happen next, for example, what action we will take on the issue
