Whithorn Conservation Area Character Appraisal and Management Plan Consultation
We're seeking views on draft planning guidance for the Whithorn Conservation Area Character Appraisal and Management Plan (CACAMP).
Overview
The draft guidance identifies the buildings, spaces and historic features that contribute to Whithorn's special character and sets out how they can be managed and protected in the future.
Whether you're a resident, business owner, visitor or have an interest in the area's historic environment, we'd like to hear your views.
Why we're consulting
Whithorn is one of Scotland's most important historic settlements and has been designated as a conservation area since 1977.
The draft Conservation Area Character Appraisal and Management Plan helps explain what makes the conservation area special and provides guidance to support its future preservation and enhancement.
Your feedback will help us finalise the guidance before it is adopted as planning guidance to Local Development Plan 2.
A paper copy is also available at Whithorn Library during normal opening hours.
