The registration of cooling towers and evaporative condensers is a legal requirement. These are known as notifiable devices. The regulations are designed to control Legionella and help with investigations of Legionnaires' disease.

If there are any changes to the details you provided when you registered, you must tell us about these within one month of the change. You must also tell us if the device is no longer notifiable.
