Active travel is about making journeys in physically active ways like walking, cycling and wheeling.
SWestrans, the regional transport partnership for Dumfries and Galloway, is offering funding through the People and Place Fund (supported by Transport Scotland) for local projects that encourage walking, wheeling, cycling and sustainable travel.
Public sector bodies, charities, social enterprises, and community groups can apply. This fund supports local delivery and replaces previous national travel grants.
