Summer of sport activities 2026

The aim of the programme is to develop the skills of young people aged S2 and over in the 2025/26 academic year. This can enhance their opportunities in further education and employment and, in turn, can help increase levels of physical activity and sport in schools and communities across our area.

A stay and play session is a relaxed, inclusive environment where children with additional support needs attend alongside a parent or carer. Together they take part in fun, play-based activities like sensory play, games, and crafts.

A relaxed turn‑up‑and‑play session at Lockerbie Academy playing fields where children can drop in anytime to enjoy a variety of sports equipment and fun activities supported by friendly coaches.
