Statutory consultation on the potential disposal of common good property

We are proposing to dispone the property known as 5 St Andrew Street, Castle Douglas.

5 St Andrew Street, Castle Douglas is held as part of Castle Douglas Common Good and therefore before taking a decision, the council requires to consult under section 104 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.

An 8-week consultation period from 28 May 2025 to 24 July 2025 will take place. We are inviting representations from the local community council, community bodies and members of the public on this proposal.

Any representations or enquiries should be clearly headed '5 St Andrew Street, Castle Douglas' and handed into the Castle Douglas Library, Customer Service Centre, Market Hill, King Street, Castle Douglas DG7 1LU or sent by email to:

Representations should be received by the Council no later than 5pm on Thursday, 24th July 2025.
