Engagement on the proposed 30mph Speed Limit/Quiet Route Scheme in the Georgetown Area, Dumfries
Join us at a ward event to discuss proposals for a 30mph speed limit and Quiet Route Scheme for the Georgetown Village and Craigs Road area.
Summary
Overview
Dumfries and Galloway Council would like to hear how members of the public travel within the Georgetown Village and Craig Road East areas, covering the U108n, U110n and U111n roads, as well as your views and comments on proposed options.
Why we are engaging
In September 2024, Dumfries and Galloway Council published a 30mph Speed Limit Order for the Georgetown Village area. We want to ensure the local community and residents are fully aware of proposals for a 30mph Speed Limit and Quiet Route Scheme.
What we will do
We will
- invite local residents and businesses to meet and discuss at a ward event, capturing the views from the discussions
What to do now
Attend the drop-in session at Georgetown Customer Service Centre, within Georgetown Library, on Monday 26 May from 3pm to 7pm. There will be an opportunity to discuss the proposals with Ward members and council officers.
Your feedback is really important to us. Your responses will inform a report that will be considered by Nithsdale Area Committee. Councillors will be asked to make a decision on the preferred options.
