Consultation on a proposed transport hub in Sanquhar
Provide feedback on the proposed transport hub in Sanquhar.
Summary
Overview
Transport hubs aim to make sustainable and active travel easier for both residents and visitors. They will help connect everyday journeys, improve links between towns, and reduce the need for car travel. At the same time, they will encourage more people to travel by bus, walk, or cycle – while also boosting visitor numbers.
Sanquhar Common Good Sub Committee will be asked to consider proposals for change of use to permit development of a transport hub at Simpson Road, Sanquhar.
The land identified for this project is part of the Sanquhar Common Good. Before any decision is made, we are required to carry out a consultation under Section 104 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.
