Tackling Poverty and Inequalities Fund - Small Grant

This fund is now open to applications

Every project applying for funding must demonstrate how it will ultimately assist to reduce poverty as well as one or more of the following priorities:

  • food insecurity
  • energy/fuel
  • warm hubs
  • digital connectivity
  • access to opportunities in communities

If you're part of a local group in the Wigtownshire area, you can ask for up to £1000 to help with a project that supports one or more of the area's goals.

This grant is managed by the council’s Lead Officer, who works with local councillors to make decisions quickly.

Grants are given out in the order we get the applications, so it’s best to apply as soon as you can. Once all the money is used up, we can’t give out any more. The last day to apply is 6 July 2026 (midday). Any remaining funds will be allocated to the Main Grant.
