Overview

We would like to engage with the public to share details of the planned improvements to the junction.

Why we are engaging

Plans have been designed to improve walking, wheeling (wheelchairs, prams, etc.), and cycling at the Dockhead/St Michael's Bridge Road junction. The upgrades aim to balance the needs of all users and improve safety.

The junction consists of a crossroads between St Michaels Bridge Road (north and south), Dockhead, and the vehicular access to Dock Park car park. The National Cycle Network Route 7 (NCNR 7) passes through Dock Park and along the Whitesands.

The improvements to road safety aim to make it easier for people to move about the town without a car. This will improve health and well-being, as well as the local environment, helping us achieve our ambitions in our Active Travel Strategy.

We want to make sure that all stakeholders have the opportunity to learn about the plans
