Following an enquiry, an application form will be issued. This form includes details such as the proposed inscription for the memorial plaque. Upon receipt of a completed application, the Community Assets Manager or Team Leader will assess the submission. Approval is subject to the following criteria:

• the number of existing benches in the proposed area
• the style and design of benches currently in place
• the availability of suitable space at the requested location
• the cost of a memorial bench is variable and determined by the type and style of bench appropriate to the surrounding environment
