How to recycle your vapes
Put your used vapes in a clear A5-sized plastic bag. You will need to provide your own bag.
Seal the bag and leave it on top of your bin on your usual collection day.
Do not put the bag inside your bin.
Do not put used vapes in your recycling bins, non-recycling waste bin or pink battery recycling bag.
Why we are asking you to recycle vapes separately
Recycling vapes separately helps prevent fires and keeps batteries out of household waste.
Vapes contain lithium batteries that can be damaged during waste collection and processing, increasing the risk of fires.
Instead, recycle them safely through our kerbside battery recycling service.

- at any of our recycling centres
- by returning them to a supermarket or the shop where you bought them
